Levi's new letters and numbers stick to the bathtub walls. He's not terribly good at identifying them, but he consistently calls T "letter Tom" after his grandfather.
Levi's eggplants
One of his favorite things to draw are eggplants. (Rachel colored them.) Other favorite subjects are footballs, balloon strings, kite-tail bows, and glasses.

This time the lines look more like a skein of distorted sine waves. Enough of this silliness.

More studies of wheels in motion. More counterintuitive almost-straight line, this time forming a lattice.

I've grown fixated on trying to capture the peculiar light patterns of wheels in motion. It fascinates me that such straight lines can result from rotating wheels viewed from the frame of reference of the ground. I'm reminded of the old physics view that a rotating wheel, observed in the instant from the ground's perspective, appears to be rotating about the point of contact with the ground, where the wheel's velocity is zero. The hub is moving at the velocity of the car, the top at twice that velocity.
